“In reality there is a single integral community of the Earth . . . In this community every being has its own role to fulfill, its own dignity, its inner spontaneity. Every being has its own voice . . .”

Famed eco-theologian and cultural historian Fr. Thomas Berry, author of those words, recently passed on after 94 years of loving the planet. He is sometimes described as the grandfather or the ecological movement, and this lovely poem in his honor is also a thoughtful morning meditation.
